Dear Friend in Ministry:
Your participation in the life of St. Peter's is very important and special. By joining together with other members and friends, our congregation continues to share the Gospel here and across the country and world.
Looking back over the past year it is awesome and humbling to consider all the ways our congregation shared the good news of Jesus. The ministry here is making a difference in people’s lives every single day.
• We have shared the life of Jesus through our efforts at places like Hope Lodge and through our Mobile Ministry efforts along with our support of organizations such as the Colonial Neighborhood Council.
• We have shared love through our work with projects such as our Prayer Shawl Ministry, our Pocket Hug Rocks, and even with our Tiny Jezi!
• We have shared joy with the community through things like our participation in events like the Township Fourth of July Parade, our Annual Trunk or Treat and Easter Egg Hunt, our regular Fellowship Events, and of course our famous Boar's Head Festival.
As we consider our stewardship response this year, we do so considering the opportunities and challenges we have each faced. Some of us are in different places economically than we were. However, all of us are in a place of more gratitude for God’s love in our lives and excitement for sharing the gospel with others.
As you consider your gift for the coming year, you are encouraged to consider how it is you can grow in your generosity. Some may consider growing giving by $1 a day. Others may double or triple their giving. Those who do math could grow giving by 5%...or 10%...over this year. You might consider adding a 13th month or 53rd week, for example. As we begin this generosity journey together, please pray about how you can grow in generosity this year.
The attached Statement of Intent card will be received in worship on Sunday, October 25. If you won’t be in worship with us that day, please use the enclosed envelope to mail in your intent or contact the church office so we can include your generosity as we share our progress.
Thanks be to God for you and for all you do to bless this congregation. And, thank you for considering how you can grow in generosity in the coming year.
Reverend Jonathan Suloff
P.S. If you prefer, you can simply email your intent for next year to officeassist.splh@gmail.com and your commitment will be recorded from that email.
