The Power of a Prayer Shawl

From Laurie Suarez: "A student of mine was diagnosed with cancer half way through his 3rd grade year in January 2024 and I picked up a prayer shawl from church and sent it home with his brother to give to him…. I'm happy to report he successfully completed all of his treatments and is in remission now. He was able to return to school last fall and completed his fourth grade year without any additional health incidents. This touched me personally and made me want to join the prayer shawl ministry to contribute in some way to this very special group! I am not at the level to be crocheting prayer shawls yet but am grateful that the coffee cozies I am able to make at home are able to be distributed and enjoyed by patients staying at Hope Lodge."
