Prayer Shawl Ministry is more than Shawls!

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

Look at all the talent from our congregation! More handmade gifts from our members for Hope Lodge’s holiday dinner. Chad Mothard donated these beautiful clouds/sky paintings. A mother and daughter quickly snagged these and were most appreciative! Then, our Prayer Shawl member had students in her class color winter scenes and include tea bags to chase the cold away! So many compliments as guests chose which ones they wanted. A HUGE thank you to Prayer Shawl members who were able to participate as well as members of our congregation who donated their talents!!

Hope Lodge Dinner and Cookie Exchange - December 18th

Hope Lodge Dinner and Cookie Exchange - December 18th

We are getting very excited for our annual Hope Lodge Christmas Dinner that is coming up on December 18th! The Sign Up Genius is live, and we’d love your help to make this event truly memorable for the guests.

How you can help:

  • We still need a few key items: turkeys, hams, roasted vegetables, cutlery, sparkling water—and most importantly, enthusiastic volunteers!

  • Next Sunday, we’ll be collecting cookies for the cookie exchange at the Hope Lodge. If you love to bake (or just love cookies), please join in!

  • There are steam pans with lids and cookie containers available in the Narthex for your convenience.

Drop-off Details:

  • Matt will be in the parking lot on Wednesday, December 17th from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM and again on Thursday, December 18th from 3 PM – 4 PM to collect food and cookies.

  • Need a ride? Matt can drive up to three volunteers and will be leaving at 4 PM on the 18th.

Gifts:

  • We are collecting Christmas gifts for the guests. The prayer shawl ministry has been working hard. We also have bracelets, headbands and paintings that were made by members of the church. If you are not into making anything, the guests would also like Uber and Starbucks gift cards. The goal is to have 2 tables of gifts for the guests. If you have your gifts, please give them to Joann

Thank you all for your generosity and Christmas spirit. Together, we can make this a wonderful evening for everyone at Hope Lodge!

RaiseRight Christmas Wreath Raffle!

RAISERIGHT CHRISTMAS WREATH RAFFLE!

Every time you make a $25.00 RaiseRight Purchase on-line or in-person between November 16, 2025 and December 14, 2025 you will receive one raffle ticket towards winning all of the cards on the St. Peter's RaiseRight Christmas Wreath.

A drawing will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 when the winner will be notified. You do not need to be in attendance on December 14, 2015 to win. The more RaiseRight $25.00 purchases you make the more chances you have to win.

RaiseRight (formerly ShopWithScrip) has been in operation at St. Peter’s since 2007. So far, the RaiseRight program has contributed $43,700.00 to St. Peter’s. This includes $2,000.00 raised in 2024. When someone buys RaiseRight cards, they pay the face value of the card and they get the face value of the card. St. Peter’s receives a percentage of that face value from RaiseRight. The customer doesn’t need to do anything except purchase the cards. The “donation” part of the process is all done behind the scenes.

Gift card purchases through RaiseRight are available in various increments. $5, $10, $25 and $100 cards are available and all amounts help pay down the church mortgage. Go to www.RaiseRight.com and sign up (our Enrollment Code is 84AE323B15851). If you are placing an on-line order for physical cards (e-cards are available from some retailers), please place the order by Sunday at 8:00 p.m. for pickup the following Sunday at church. Or you can place a paper order with Jane Stettler at the front door of the church before or after the service using cash or check. Please email Jane with any questions.

Sunday School and Confirmation and Trunk or Treat!!!

Sunday School is back!!!

Sunday School is back this week and our kiddos can join Ms. Lisa in the back of the sanctuary following the announcements for Sunday School and Confirmation Class will be starting up as soon as Pastor gets back from vacation. Families will be sent an email with the schedule for the year and there is already a homework assignment! If you don't know what it is then you missed worship last week...

We are looking for volunteers to help teach. Sunday School runs from right after the Children's message until the start of Communion (unless they're doing something super fun). We are hoping to get 3-6 additional volunteers so that we can schedule everyone for leading Sunday School no more than once a month. If you might be interested please or if you have a kiddo to participate in Sunday School but you might have a question or three, please contact Pastor Suloff or Lisa in the Church Office.

Oh yeah, and just for fun, Trunk or Treat is October 26th so mark your calendars!
