We had another amazing day at Vacation Bible School today! We learned about the story of Jonah and the Big Fish (or whale as one of our Kindergarden students reminded me it should be during the opening). We learned that God wants and does work through us, even sometimes when we don’t want to like Jonah and we learned that God’s love and imagination are so much larger than ours – we can’t run away or hide from God – God always knows where we are and who we are are and God always gives us more chances, and works in and through us, to share the Good News!
Tomorrow we will be learning about the story of the Woman at the Well and we will hear how this story shows us that Jesus came for everyone. Jesus teaches about God’s love. He brought God’s love to the whole world : no exceptions. We will be reminded through our opening, music, arts and crafts, games, science, and all things that Jesus loves us no matter who we are!
Don’t forget to send a white or plain t-shirt along for decorating (please write your child’s name on the shirt) and if you aren’t able to send one just let Pastor Suloff, Mrs. Graham, or the church office know and we’ll figure it out.
We will be collecting a freewill offering on Friday to help offset the costs of Vacation Bible School, envelopes will be sent home tomorrow.
Please send a paper or plastic bag, labeled with your child’s name, so that we can send home all of their wonderful projects at the end of the week.
Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers and all the work that they do helping our kids hear and know and learn and splash in God’s Word!
Mrs. Graham has posted a bunch of pictures from today on the Nursery School Facebook page, if you’d like to see them and aren’t already following the page just send a request.
Thanks to everyone – kids, leaders, shepherds, helpers, parents, and everyone – for making our second day so much fun!!! We’ll see you in the morning!!!
