Fly Eagles Fly! It’s Souper Bowl Sunday this weekend!
Wear your Nick Foles Jersey…Cut out the Dog Masks that will be in the Inquirer on Friday….Come to fellowship hall and tail gate before the game…. Souper Bowl Sundayis our annual event with St Peter’s Youth and Social Ministry working together to create great food, fellowship and ministry for two of our programs.
Souper Bowl – Members of the congregation use their time and talent and make delicious soups to donate to the event. If you have a special soup that you’d like to make and share – we welcome your donations. The Church kitchen will be open from 1-3 on Saturday to accept your soup. We will package up your soup in pint containers and sell it at our Souper table after both services. Soup is sold for $4 a pint and all proceeds go to Social Ministry.
At the SAME time – our Youth will be working in the kitchen to build hoagies to sell to support Youth Ministry (all hoagie sale volunteers are asked to arrive in Fellowship Hall at 8:30am on Sunday morning). There are no order forms once again this year, simply head down to Fellowship Hall and select your favorite from Turkey and Cheese, Ham and Cheese, Italian, and Cheese. Each hoagie is dry but has tomato, lettuce, black pepper and oregano. Hoagies may be purchased in Fellowship hall following both services. Hoagies are $7 each and all proceeds go to Children, Youth, and Family Ministries.
The kitchen and fellowship hall are alive with two ministries working together in joyous cacophony! And HEY the Eagles are in the Super Bowl! Grab your hoagies and Soup so you don’t have to miss a moment of the game.
