Carol Evans, our Music Director, is resigning from St. Peter’s to accept a new call and her last Sunday with us being October 8th. While we are sad to see Carol depart, we also wish her the best in her future adventures in ministry as she shares her gifts, her joy, and her passion for sharing the life, love, and joy of Jesus Christ with others through music. What follows is Carol’s letter of resignation from St. Peter’s:
Dear friends at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church,
It is with a bittersweet heart that I write this letter to officially inform you that I will be resigning from my position as Music Director at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, effective four weeks from today, October 17, 2017. I have enjoyed every moment I have had in service to this congregation. However, I have been offered a position at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church that will provide me with a higher salary and an opportunity to use my gifts in music ministry much more fully.
Since I still have some vacation remaining, my last Sunday in church will be October 8, 2017. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as music director and have been blessed by the support of the staff and congregation. I am sorry to leave this position behind, but I truly believe God is calling me to make this change. I have prayed and prayed and God has given me peace about my decision. Until the 8th, I will be available to offer support and suggestions for St. Peter’s music ministries and answer any questions you may have. I will continue to pray for St. Peter’s for God to richly bless you and provide all your needs.
I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
