Save the Bell Tower!
THE PROBLEM
The issue is simple--we cannot ignore the condition of the bell tower.  The louvers on all four sides of the tower are in need of repair.  As well, there are several defective mortar joints throughout with many cracks in the joints that allow water to enter the tower thereby eroding the mortar and affecting the structural integrity of the entire tower. We recently completed a temporary repair effort to prevent rotted wood from the louver frames from falling to the pavement.  This is a safety issue that must be corrected as soon as possible.

WHAT WE NEED TO DO
The tower needs to be repaired; however, such repairs are not inexpensive.  We have looked at some estimates that all approximate the cost of these repairs to be $85,000.  We need to look inside at our resources and raise the funds to get the repairs underway and soon completed.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE
Download the form indicated below and either make a one-time donation or spread your donation in a 3- or 6-month option.  Every bit helps, but without your help, we cannot "Save the Bell Tower!"  Feel free to print the form and put it in an envelope and drop it at the church office or place it in the collection plate.

Take a look at these pictures to obtain a clearer understanding of the condition of the tower.

This bell tower holds one of our most important symbols; its bell is the voice of the structural church.  We are all part of the universal church and are all responsible for its mainenance and preservation.  We need to be certain that it continues to ring to connect future generations to us!

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.--Luke 6:38
